The Holy Great Monastery of Vatopaidi has published its calendar for the year 2026 in an elegant and tasteful volume designed for tabletop use.

This year’s calendar is dedicated to the embroidered fabrics and garments preserved in the Monastery.
The collection of Byzantine and post-Byzantine liturgical and decorative textiles and vestments of the Monastery is considered unique for its number, its degree of preservation, and the quality of the works safeguarded in its exhibition and storage areas.
This collection preserves exceptional relics such as epitaphioi, vestments, epimanikia, stoles, and omophoria, most of which have been donations from devout Christians throughout the centuries.
Through each page of this desk calendar, it becomes evident that art in the Orthodox tradition is not merely decoration but a “dialogue” with the Divine.
